Lucknow/Gautam Buddh Nagar: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has asked 470 complainants to submit affidavits containing their updated bank account details so that funds recovered from promoters can be transferred to the respective complainants without further delay.
According to UP RERA, payments in these cases are currently pending because the concerned complainants have not yet provided the required documents relating to their bank accounts. The authority said that, in a total of 470 complaints, updated bank account details have not been submitted through affidavits, preventing the transfer process from moving forward.
UP RERA said the concerned complainants have already been informed several times through their registered email addresses and urged them to provide the required bank details at the earliest.
The authority has asked all such complainants to submit their correct and complete bank account details through a notarised affidavit on a ₹10 stamp paper. The affidavit can either be sent through Speed Post or submitted personally at the concerned UP RERA office.
The authority has stressed that the bank account details mentioned in the affidavit must be accurate, active and updated to prevent any complications during the transfer of the recovered amount.
UP RERA has also issued separate instructions based on the location of the complaints. Complainants from districts falling under the National Capital Region (NCR) have been asked to submit their notarised affidavits at the UP RERA regional office in Gautam Buddh Nagar.
Complainants from districts outside the NCR have been directed to submit their affidavits at the UP RERA office in Lucknow.
The authority said that once the updated bank details are received, the process of transferring the money recovered from promoters to the eligible complainants’ accounts can be taken forward.
UP RERA has therefore appealed to all 470 concerned complainants to avoid any further delay and submit their affidavits to the appropriate office at the earliest. The authority said timely submission of accurate bank details will help ensure that recovered funds are transferred to eligible complainants in a time-bound manner.
